Advances in Approximation Theory (AAT) is a peer-reviewed journal owned and published by Stanford University Press (SUP).

In 2026 the journal is supported through SUP's limited grant funding to operate under the Diamond Open Access model, meaning there are no APCs or subscription fees to publish or read. In 2027 the journal is planning to transition to the Subscribe to Open model, in order to continue offering $0 APCs for authors.
